Pg 2 - PH LL Signs
Pursuant to the requirements of Sections A 14-14 to 23 of the Suffolk County
Administrative Code, the above reference application which has been submitted
to the Suffolk County Planning Commission is considered to be a matter for local
determination. A decision of local determination should not be construed as either
an approval or disapproval. Very truly yours, Arthur H. Kunz. From the Planning
Board, Town of Southold. Dear Mrs. Terry. The following resolution was
adopted by the Planning Board at it's meeting last night. Be it resolved' that
the Planning Board has reviewed this proposed legislation which calls for the
deletion of the words "or there is a change in message.',' from this section of the
Zoning Code; and recommends it's adoption. Sincerely, Bennet~-Orlowski, Jr.,
Chairman. Just for those of you that have missed this. It was simple matter
in the Code, that we made this amendment. There was a preceding paragraph,
which said, if you had a sign, which had'movable- letters, you could change the
letters at your descretion, and there was another section under it, which s~id
that if you had a sign 'that did not have movable letters, you had to come in
for a new permit to change the message, so we felt that the ',two sections were
not consistent, and that it was not necessary ~f somebody wanted to change the
wording on a sign to get a whole new permit for a sign,- and that was the reason
for proposing this Local Law change.
SUPERVISOR HARRIS: ARe there any members of the audience, that would like
to speak in reference to this~Local Law amendment? (No response.) I'll declare
this I~ublic hearing closed.
