A Local Law in Relation to Appointment of Commlttcc=
BE IT ENACTED. by the Town Board of the Town of Southold as follows:
Chapter 7 (Committees. Appointment of) of the Code of the Town of
Southold is hereby amended as follows:
Section 7-1 (Establishment of committees) is hereby amended' to
read as follows:
The Town Board. by resolution, may establish advisory
committees for such purposes as it may deem nec-~-~ary to
assist it in the performance of its duties.
The term "committes~' shall be deemed to be a generic
designation and shall also include any c~roup appointed by
the Town Board as set forth in Section "a" above.

SUPERVISOR HARRIS: The second public hearing of the evening is a "Local
Law in Relation to Appointment of Committees". Councilwoman Hussie will i'ead
proof of publication, and verification of such.
COUNCILWOMAN HUSSIE: "Public Notice is hereby given that there has been
presented to the Town Board of the Town of Southold, Suffolk County, New York,
on the 29th day of February, 1992, a Local Law entitled, "A Local Law in Relation
to Appointment of Committees". Notice is further given that the Town Board
of the Town of Southold will hold a public hearing on the aforesaid Local Law
at the Southold Town Hall, Main Road, Southold, New York, on the 10th day
of March, 1992, at 4:32 P.M., at which time all interested persons will be heard.
This proposed "Local Law in Relation to Appointment of Committees" reads as
follows:
