Please consider the following: 1. The drainage calculations shown on Sheet 3 under Infiltration Basin reduce the capacity of the basin by a 2"Rainfal1/3"Rainfall. I am not certain what this calculation represents. Please have the Engineers verify what they are referring to. If this note is in error, it would appear that the project can eliminate all new proposed leaching basins as the infiltration basin will meet our 2"drainage requirement found in Chapter 236. 2. While this shallow infiltration basin meets the capacity requirements, it is recommended that at least one diffusion well with inlet grate be installed out away from the proposed pipe end sections. During periods of freezing ground conditions, a secondary means of infiltration would be prudent. The inlet grate elevation of this diffusion well or 8' Diameter Leaching Pool should be set approximately 12"above the bottom elevation in the basin. 3. Please provide a test hole showing soil conditions and depth to groundwater. If you have any questions concerning this matter, please contact my office.
