A meeting of the Southold Town Trustees was called to order
at the Southold Town Clerk's Office on March 27, 1961, at
2 o'clock P.M. by President Emmons Dean.

Minutes of the previous meeting were read for information.
Application of WILLIAM H. BURK~ARDT, Nakomis Road, Laughing
Waters, Southold, N.Y. to place a stake in Town Creek to
moor an 18' sailboat was granted. Fee $1.00.
Mr. McNulty presented the application of Mattituck Park
District to place a floating dock 40' x 80' at the foot of
Love Lane, Mattituck, N.Y. It was regularly move, seconded
and carried that the permit be granted all in accordance
with the application submitted for the minimum fee of $1.00.
The application of JOHN P. MARS~uT, Mlnnehaha Blvd., Laughing
Water, Southold, N.Y. to dredge enough to keep boat off bottom
at low tide in Corey Creek was read. After dicussion by the
the Board, it was decided to postpone the decision until more
information could be obtained on the amount of dredging to
be done.
The Board voted that the following notice be put in the Long
Island Traveler-Mattituck Watchman, the Suffolk Times and
also be placed in the Post Offices throughout the Town of
Southold:
NOTICE: Notice is hereby given that any docks or pilings for
which permits have been issued by the Board Of Trustees which
have been removed during the winter by ice, or by the owners
to prevent ice damage, may be replaced in original locations
according to original permits without application to the Town
Trustees.
HOWEVER, any new docks or pilings in TOWn waters not previously
approved by the TOWn Trustees will require a permit from the
Town Trustees before replacement, in accordance with Town
Ordinances.
The Southold TOWn Trustees will hold their next meeting at
4 P.M. on Monday, April ~ 1961.
