The regular meeting of the Southold Town Trustees was called to
order at the Town Clerk Office, Southold, New York, at 1=30 P.M.
with the following present:
Alvah B. Goldsmith,
George Simpson
Frank Dawson
John F. McNulty
Philip Weiler
Marion Regent, Sec.
President
Moved by Mr. Simpson; seconded by Mr. McNulty:
RESOLVED= That the secretary of the Town Trustees write to the
Southold Town Board again requesting that the plans for dredg~gg
and/or filling of town owned lands under water be submitted in
detail to the Board of Town Trustees for consideration and approval
before any requests are made to the County for such work to be
performed. It is the understanding of the Town Trustees that such
proposed work in Town waters is specifically entrusted to their
jurisdiction, and that their approval is legally necessary before
the Town Board can lawfully proceed with the proposed projects.
Vote of Town Trustees: Ayes- ALL
The application of Edith D. Charkow of Mattituck, New York, to
erect a stake in Mattitu~k Creek was approved, having been prev-
iously examined and approved by the Mattituck Creek Harbor Master
Thomas B. Reeve. ~% ~o4 p~J.
Mr. Dawson and Mr. McNulty reviewed the property of Mr. & Mrs.
John Rosicki of Mattituck, N.Y. after complainta had been re-
ceived relative to their application for a permit to erect a
dock in front of their property on Mattituck Creek. The trustees
saw no reason for these complaints and the permit was issued
for a dock 30 feet long and 3 feet wide. Fee $15.00.
Mr. Dawson and Mr. McNulty reviewed property of MZs. Elsie Blairon
who had inquired about bulkheading her property. The Trustees
suggeste~ that she apply to the Trustees for a permit giving
full particulars as to the work she wished to do.
