The regular meeting of the Town Trustees was held at the Supervisor's
Office, 16 South Street, Greenport, New York and at the Town clerk's
Office, $outhold, New York on Wednesday, June 2, 1965.
The Trustees met at 1:30 P.M. at the Supervisor's Office for a
discussion concerning land under Town waters. Present were the
Trustees, Alvah Goldsmith, Frank Dawson, John F. McNulty, Philip
Weiler and George Simpson; member of the Planning Board Arch Young;
Supervisor Lester M. Albertson and Town Counsel Robert W. Tasker.
The Town Counsel advised that the Town Trustees had jurisdiction
only over land under town waters. In the case of man-made canals
or excavations adjacent to Town waters, the Trustees could regulate
any dredging that wuuld encroach on TOWn owned land under water.
At this meeting it was agreed that an exchange of minutes between
the Planning Board, Bc~rd of Appeals, Town Board and Town Trustees
should be made for information and coordination of plans and permits.
It was voted that a letter be sent to the Town Board requesting a
portfolio of large scale maps of all the creeks and town Owned
lands under water iu~the Town showing the names of surrounding
property owners for the use of the Town Trustees in keeping records
of various permits that are issued.
After the discussion at the Supervisor's Office, the Town Trustees
continued their meeting at the Town Clerk's Office, Southold, N.Y.
The following permits for stakes were signed by the Trustees:
Henry Krupski, Leo Rauch, Ralph F. Crocker, Howard M. Terry and
Arthur Giella.
Application of Almet R. Latson, Southold, N.Y. for two moorings and
12 stakes in T~wn Creek in front of his property was rea~ and

Application ef Frederick T. Nineslin~, Cutch~gue, N.Y. for two
pilings in Mu~ Creek alengsi~e Bay Ave., Cutch~gue, N.Y. was road

Application of James B. Ford, Southold, N.Y., for two stakes in
Town Creek,~ Southol~ in front of his property was read and approved.
Fee $1.00 paid.
Application of Lester C. Cornelius, Deep Hole Drive, Mattituck, N.Y.
to build a dock 54 feet long and 3 feet wide in Deep Hole Creek,
Mattituck, in front of his property was discussed and approved.
Fee $27.00.
Application of David S. Strong of Mattituck, N.Y. to construct a
dock 170 feet on easterly side of J~es ~eek, Mattituck, beginning
at nor~ end of existing dock, thence southerly and thence easterly
to existing bul~ead ~d to place 15 poles was read and approved.
