HomeMy WebLinkAboutTR-02/23/1965MEETING OF FEBRUARY 23, 1965 The regular meeting of the Southold Town Trustees was held at the Town clerk*s Office, Southold, N.Y. on Tuesday, February 23, 1965, at 1:30 P.M. Present: Alvah B. Goldsmith, PhilipWeiler John F. McNulty Frank Dawson George Simpson Marion Regent, Sec. President A discussion was held on the subject of man-made canals as a result of the meeting held with the Planning Board on February 15, 1965. It was determined at the meeting that the Town Trustees have no juri~diction in the man-made canals. The application of Mr. Walter Galazzi for a dock in a man-made canal from Gull Pond was returned together with a letter informing Mr. Galazzi that the Town Trustees have no jurid~iction in the area in which the proposed dock is to be placed an~ thanking Mr. Galazzi for his interest in sub- mitting an application. A copy of a letter to the Army Engineers from the Co~- issioner of Public Works in relation to the proposed dredging in Little Creek and Little Peconic Bay, Cutchogue, was received by the Town Trustees. The Trustees informed the Conunissioner of Public Works by letter that it is still necessary for them to obtain official permission from ~j~ the Board of Trustees to dredge in the Town waters of Little Creek, Town of Southold. received from JOHN J. K~..EIN~ JR. to application was construct docks and floating docks and dredge in James / Creek. After visiting the area, the Trustees granted a permit~ Fee - 280 yds ~ .04 ..... $11.20 300 ft. Dock ~ .50- 150.00 Total Fee $ 161.20 The application of Ruth S. Glmbernat to build a dock and set four (4) mooring piles "in Howards Creek was examined by the Trustees. After visiting the area the permit was granted, subject to the understanding that the total length of the dock and floats combined does not exceed 70~ from mean high water mark.
