Mr. JACOBSEN, of Mattituck, appeared before the Board relative
to a strip of land between his property and the county highway
on the northerly side of Middle Road west of Westphalia A~e~ue,
Matti~uck. He stated that he understood the county had abandoned
the plan to widen the highway at this point and wanted to extend
the deeded land accordingly. The Board informed Mr. Jacobsen
that we had no authority to make any committments in this situation,
and suggested he get in touch with the county superintendent.thru=~
his Attorney.
Requests for permits for 2 stakes each from John Swiskey, Daniel
Bridge and Leroy Schriefer at the end of Minnehaha Blvd. and west
branch of Corey Creek were approved. Fee $1.00 for each applicant.
A letter was received from Mrs. Arthur Reichardt requesting per-
mis*ion to build a catwalk off the end of Illinois Avenue in
Tollewood Development, Mattituck. It was decided that a letter
be written in reply stating that this road was owned by the devel-
opment, not by the Town, and since the Board is not familiar with the
conditions of the deeds to these properties, it would not be
advisable for us to grant such a request. The proposed dock could
not be built for the exclusive use of any one person under the
circumstances, it would appear.
Minutes read and approved.
Meeting adjourned at 5:10 P.M.
