A regular meeting of the Southold Town Trustees was called to order at 4 P.M. on August 29, 1960, at the Southold Town Clerk's Office. Present: Emmons Dean, Philip Weiler John McNulty Frank Dawson Alvah Goldsmith Howard Terry, Building Inspector Permits approved at last meeting were signed. Applica~ion of JOHN D. HALLOCK for permission to erect a dock according to plan furnished was granted. Fee $10.00 Application of HAROLD E. CHADBURN for permission to dredge 20 feet of meadow bog across the front of his p~operty to form a beach was granted. Fee $10.00 Application of ~ANE-.R FRANK BULLOCK for permission to dredge and erect a dock at Fisherman's Beach was considered. The Board agreed to grant permission for the dredging and the dock b~t not for the two pilings as the Board feels that these pilings would interfere with navigation in the channel. Fee $25.00. Application of PAUL ~LENBERGER for permission to drive a stake in Haywaters off end of 50 foot Right of Way off Haywaters Road was granted on a revocable basis in behalf of complaints. Fee $.50. Application of William Wickham in behalf of JOHN HAAS for ~uit claim deed to filled land on Mattituck Creek in front of his property was laid on the table pending receipt of necessary data from applicant. The complaint of ELLIS TERRY relative to the location of the docks installed by Joseph Ulrich in Jockey Creek was investigated by the Board. The Board voted to write a letter to Mr. Ulrich, a copy of which was to be kept on file, advising him that he would be fully responsible for damage to property of adjoining owners in the event of any shifting of these docks from their proper approved location.
