A meeting of the Seuthold T~wn Trustees was c&lled to order at 4 P.M. on February 29, 1960 at the Town Clerk's Office, Southold, New York. Dr. & Mrs. Smith appeared before the Beard in reference to the application of John D. Merrisen for a deed to the filled land in front of his property on Mattituck Creek. In as much as ne survey had been furnished by Morrison to indicate the results of the extension of his existing property lines on the rights of adjoining property owners, the Beard advised Mrs. Smith that ne action would be taken by the Board until a satisfactory determination of their c~mon boundary was established. In reference to the fee charged to Broadwaters Cove Assoc., Inc. which was objected to by Mr. Larry Tuthill, the contractor, the Board decided that the $25.00 fee was fair and reasonable and coincided with fees charged for similar operations in other cases. The ap~lication of Mr. Alfred Livett for permit to dredge in Baldwin's Creek which was acted upon by the Trustees on May 25, 1959, has been cancelled at the request of the applicant. A new application was received frem Mr; Alfred Livett for permission to erect a deck in Baldwin's Creek off the center of his Lot %111 Nassau Farms; said dock to be 30 feet overall length with an 18 feet L elf the outer ~nd ~xtending in a northerly direction. Permit granted; fee $10.00. Application of Leroy C. Bi~gs of Broadwaters Road, Nassau Point, Cutchegue, for permission to dredge in front of his property and dig out a basin 30 feet by 25 feet in Broadwaters Cove was received and considered. In as much as the material to be removed was approximately 800 yards the Board voted the fee to be $35.00~ 0M~4 ~ ~0 o o It was voted by the Board of Trustees that after consultation with the Town Counsel to determine the preper~werding, that a notice be published in the local papers to the effect that any person digging holes or excavations in T~wn lands below high water mark in the creeks ef the T~wn shall be required to refill these holes before leaving the area, and that the upland owners may require the T~wn Police to enforce this resolution.
