Mr. Fred Moore appeared before the Board to request that
the Town Trustees consider selling to a private party that
parcel of land that appears to be uncl&imed adjacent to
Caroline Bell on the filled area between her property and
Westphalia Avenue. The Board is of the opinion that if this
property should belong to the Town that it should not be
sold or leased for any private purpose or use, but should
be reserved for the general public.
Complaints having been received by the Trustees from Goose
Bay Association and others about the three fish mets or fykes
that ha~e been set out in Goose Bay blocking the area from
the use of boats, the Trustees voted to request the Town
Police to see that they are removed at once.
Application of CARL & INEZ VAIL for permission to dredge,
remove meadow bog and fill in front of their property (Lot 9)
George H. Wells Property) and to erect a dock, was received
and considered. The Board will investigate and report at the
next meeting as to the details of this project before approval.
The Board of Trustees have had requests to give deeds to
the filled lands around Mattituck Creek to the respective,
upland property owners. The Board requests the Town Councel
to determine the proper procedure to accomplish this.
Minutes read and approved.
Meeting adjourned at 5 P.M.
Alvah B. Goldsmith, Clerk
