Minutes of Southold Town Trustees
June 22, 1959.
A meeting of the Southold Town Trustees was called to
order at 4 P.M. on June 22, 1959 by President Dean.
Present:
~LuL~ons Dean, John McNulty, Philip Weiler,
Alvah B. Goldsmith, Frank Dawson and
Marion Regent.
The Board of Town Trustees unanimously adopted the
following resolution:
RESOLVED: That the Town Trustees shall execute
an indenture to EDWARD H. FORD quitclaiming and
releasing to said EDWARD H. FORD all the land above
high water mark that will be filled by the disposal
of materials from the dredging of Rictunonds Creek
Channel that lies in front of his present property
by extending the present property lines on either
side to the high water mark of the creek, bounds
to be determined by survey after completion of the
dredging operation.
A lete~r was read from MR. G. E. LAGERGREN requesting
a permit to erect a dock in front of his property
on the south side of Jockey Creek. It will be necessary
for MR. LAGERGREN to fill out the proper application
forms showing the location of the proposed dock and
with special attention to the distance from the end
of the proposed dock to the edge of the dredged channel
in Jockey Creek so that there will be no interference
with navigation therein.
It was moved and seconded and carried that permits be
issued to ARTHUR W. J(H~ES, TOM WILLIAMS, and SALLY NORCROSS
to put in one stake each off the Village Park at the
head of Town Creek at a fee of $.50 each.
Application was read from LAUGHING WATER PROPERTY OWNERS
ASSOCIATION for permission to dredge a 20 foot channel
in front of their property adjoining Haggerty on Minn-
ehaha Boulevard for a distance of 215 feet and with
approximately 600 c. yds. of material to be dredged
and deposited on their land. Permit granted - Fee $25.00
Application of ROBERT ROBINSON for permit to put a
stake off the Town Parking Area on the easterly side
of Sterling Creek - 30' off shore was read. The Trustees
agreed to consult the Town Board as to their plans for
certain ~reas around Sterling Creek and elsewhere in
the Town before permits were issued. If the Town B~rd
has no objections the permits will be issued.

An informal application of the Mattituck Park District
to extend their float at the foot of Love Lane in
Mattituck Creek was presented by Mr. McNulty. The
Board agreed to issue a pemmit upon receipt of formal
application.
