East Marion we have recognized that the newly constructed dwelling may not be interacting well with the Cypress trees in question during the windy conditions this location experiences at this exposed location on the Long Island Sound. We would suggest a"soft"pruning of these cypresses would relieve the wind load they experience making them less"sail' like.We would like to discuss this condition on site and secure direction from you on how best to proceed We are submitting this letter in conjunction with our request for C.of 0. inspection in the hopes that we could accomplish both functions in one site visit. We look forward to your response and appreciate your attention to this matter Respectfully Submitted Donald Wilson Project Supervisor Schuchart Dow michael boucher landscape architecture 457 US Route 1 Suite 2 Freeport, ME 04032 t 207 865 1080 f 207 865 1455 www.boucherlandscape.com 21 October 2016 Board of Town Trustees P.O. Box 1179 Southold, NY 11971-0959 Re: Dome Luca, LLC Project Update Dear Members of the Board of Trustees, Numerous design changes occurred on our project at 14909 Main Road in East Marion, NY under building permit number 8456A. This letter is to inform you of the current state of the design. The changes focused on the walkways, gardens and terraces directly adjacent to the building and are as follows. East Side A flight of steps was added to the 10'walkway that extends east to the property line. The concrete walkway along the east side of the house was replaced with a crushed stone path with concrete steps around a 6'x18' garden. North Side A 17'-6" x 4'-6" walkway with stairs and landing is alongside an 11'x5.5'garden at the eastern end of the house. A 6'-4" x 5'-10" wood deck and steps is located at the rear door. The central concrete terrace has been replaced with a 30'x13'-7" wood deck and stairs. Two 16'-6" x 11'-2" gardens flank the deck. A 75' long, 4.5'wide crushed stone path extends the length of the house. West Side The pool, terrace and garden were replaced with a 15'x54' garden that extends the width of the house and is bounded by a low concrete wall with a set of stairs on each end. South Side Similar to the north side, the central concrete terrace has been replaced with a 30'x13'-7" deck and stairs. A 16'-6" x 11'-2" garden is on one side of the central deck and a 7'-10"x19'garden on the other. A 33' long, 10'wide set of stairs and landings approaches the main entry alongside a 27'-10"x16' garden. A 9'-8"x9'-3" wood deck and stairs is at the main entry door. A 59' long x 4.5'wide crushed stone path extends in front of the decks and gardens. I hope this summary is clear and aids in your understanding of the status of the project.
