TOWN CLERK'S BUILDING

SOUTHOLD, NEW YORK
A meeting of the Southold Town Trustees was called to order
at the ~outhold Town Clerk's Office on Thursday, Jan. 17, 1957
at ~ P.M. by Pr~sid4nt Emmons Dean.
Present: Emmons Deen
Philip Weiler
Frank Dawson
Alvsh B. Goldsmith
Marion A.(Winters) R~gent
President Dean opened the meeting ~ith a prayer in memory of
Mrs. Charles McNulty and a moment of silent tribute. Mrs. McNulty
was the Mother of our colleague John McNulty.
The clerk reported that a letter was sent to Mr. WitenkQ advising
him of the Board's decision in the matter of his application.
Mr. Frank Dawson reported thet he had visited the site of the
proposed dock called for in the application of Versal Estates~
on Mattituck Creek at the head of Howard Creek branch. He
stated that the 20 ft. dock would not interfere with navigation
as long as the float that was to be attached was attached to
the side of the dock and not to the end.
The Board voted to grant the request with the understanding that
the total length would not exceed 20 ft. including the float
as recommended by Mr. D~wson. The fee is to be $10.00.
The President of the Board called attention to the fact that
our S~cretary was married on December 2~, 1956, to Mr. Frederick
Y. Regent. The Board extends it's best wishes to Mrs. R~gent
and is pleased that we will continue to have her efficient
assistance as our secretary.
As no other business was to come before this meeting, it was
moved and carried that the meeting be adjourned.
