SOUTHOLD TOWN PLANNING BOARD
November 9, 1955
The Southold Town Planning Board met at the home
of the Chairman, John Wickham, on Wednesday, November 9,
1955.0 at 4 P.M. Those present were: Mr. Gillispie, Mr.
Muddeman, Mr. Reeve, Mr. Raymond Terry, Mr. Van Duzer,
Mr. Van Tuyl, Mr. and Mrs. Wickham,
The Minutes of the last meeting were read for
information only.
The question as to the number of members con-
stituting a quorum was raised again and in this connection
Mr. Wickham read a letter dated October 19, 1955, he had
received from Mr. Muddeman in which he referred to the
County Attorney's statement on a quorum as indicated in
Section 41 of the General Municipal Law of the State of
New York.
In continuing the discussion from the last
meeting on sub-divisions, Mr. Muddeman pointed out that
See. 335 of the Real Property Law states that in the case
of a sub-division, a map must be filed. But he also
pointed out that the State Law does not define "sub-
division". He is expecting the Legislature to act on
this at its coming session and recommended that in all
eases the Board be guided by commonsense.
Mr. Wickham introduced Mr. Raymond Terry, Chair-
man of the Board of Assessors, who had been invited to
discuss assessments with the Board. Discussion centered
on this topic and was mutually helpful. Mr. Terry was
accorded a vote of thanks for attending the meeting.
The Planning Board then adjourned. at 6 P.M.
subject to call.
Respectfully submitted,
Anne L. Wickham, Clerk
