HomeMy WebLinkAbout10/10/1955 0 MINUTES SOUTHOLD TOWN PLANNING BOARD October 100 1955 The Southold Town Planning Board met at the home of the chairman, John l+ ickham, on Iflonday, October 10th, 1955, at 4 P.M. Present were$ Mr. Doyen, Mr. Gillispie, Supervisor Klipp, Mr. Reeve , Mr. VanDuzer, Mr. Van Tuyl, Mr. and Mrs. Wickham. The minutes of the, last meeting, which had been mailed to all members, were noted for information only. There was some discussion concerning the fact that small subdivisions were being sold by description only, and it was decided to consult with Mr. P!luddeman as to where the Planning Board should require that a map be filed. It was moved by Mr. Doyen and seconded by Mr. Gillispie that the Planning board request the Town Board to refer requests for highway dedications to them for information where there are no subdivision maps filed. This was voted. It was moved. by Mr. Gillispie, seconded by Mir. VanDuzer, to invite Mr. Raymond Terry, chairman of the Board of Assessors, to attend the next meeting to discuss assessments. It was moved by Mr. VanDuzer and seconded by Ivlr. Reeve to sustain the action of the meeting of September 22nd in connection with the changes in the "Recommended Rules and Regulations" * This was voted unanimously. It was also moved by Mr. Reeve , seconded by Mr. VanDuzer, that the "Recommended Rules and. Regulations" as adopted July 14 be put in the form of a Resolution to be filed with the Town Clerk* This was voted as follows: "WHEREAS the Southold Town Planning Board -was created by resolution of the Southold Town Board, adopted at a regular meeting on the 25th day of April, 1955, and WH7REAS said Resolution authorized and empowered the Planning Board to approve plans, NOW THEREFORE be it resolved that the Recommended Rules and Regulations for the subdivision of land in the Town of Southold be , and they hereby are , adopted by the Planning Board, to be in force and effect as of July 14, 1955; ON MOTION of Harold R. Reeve , duly seconded by Charles VanDuzer, IT IS RESOLVED that the chairman put the question to a votes Mr. Doyens yes Mr. Gillispie; yes Mr. Reeves yes Mr. VanDuzers yes Recommended Rules and Regulations adopted as of July 14, 3.955." a l -2. A Resolution was also authorized by unanimous vote on the changes as adopted September 22 as follows: "VJTiFREAS the Southold Town Planning Board was created by Resolution of the Southold Town Board, adopted at a regular meeting on the 25th day of April, 1955, and bJHFREAS said. Gillisp ie, Jr. , IT IS RESOLVED that the chairman put the question to a vote; Mr. Doyens yes Mr. Gillispie: yes Mr. Reeves yes Mr. VanDuzer: yes Changes in the Recommended Rules and. Regulations adopted as of September 22, 1955." It was decided to hold the next meeting on �iednesday, November 9 at 4 P.M. at the home of the chairman providing Mr. Muddeman could attend.
