Dated: June 4, 1985, Judith T. Terry, Southold Town Clerk." I have a Affidavit from the Town Clerk indicating that it was posted on the Town Clerk's Bulletin Board as public notice. I have an Affidavit from The Suffolk Times indicating publication of this notice. I have an Affidavit from The Long Island Traveler-Watchman indicating publication of this notice. I have two letters , one is to the Southold Town Board: "1 wish to protest any new restrictions concerning Duck Pond. I used to launch my 12 ft. boat and enjoy the swimming and fishing at that area, (then came the motel). A few years ago the road was damaged due to construction of the pool and buildings. I spoke to Mr. Dean about this, but no results. It took the Highway Dept. forever to repair the damage. It seems as if the motel was being favored, just to keep the public out of that area. Thank you." Signed by Mr. and Mrs. Joseph P. Kirwin. I have another letter that was addressed to myself, to the Town Board, Councilman James Schondebare: "Dear Sir: I have read in The Suffolk Times, dated 5/29/85 the article concerning Duck Point Motel. I do not want the time to change for the convenience of the people who are at the motel. We have been going fishing for many years, for our use, so why should we surrender our right of way to the motel. If the motel wants privacy they should build or fence on their land that is so close to the road. Concerned citizen, Anthony T. Zarzecki." SUPERVISOR MURPHY: Thank you, Jay. Is there anyone here in the audience would like to speak in favor of this proposed change? (No response.) Is there anyone in the audience would like to speak in opposition to this proposed change? (No response.) Is there anyone in the audience who would like to say anything on the proposed change? (No response.) If not I'll close the hearing.
