A Local Law in relation to Residence Parking Permit Fees f~E IT ENACTED by the Town Board of the Town of Southold as follows: (additions indicated by underline; deletions by [brackets].) I. Subdivision A(2) (Resident parking permits) of Section 65-3 of Chapter 65 (Parking at Beaches) is hereby amended to read as follows: (2) The Town Clerk or a person designated by [him] the Town Clerk shall inspect such application to determine that the applicant is a qualified resident of the town. Upon approval of the application, a resident parking permit shall be issued and inscribed with the vehicle license registration number. Such permit shall not be transferred to any other vehicle. [Upon payment of the permit fee, a resident shall be entitled to a permit for each vehicle owned by him if such vehicle is registered to an address within the Town of Southold.] II. This Local Law shall take effect upon its filing with the Secretary of State. The official notice will be read by Councilman Paul Stoutenburgh. RUTH OLIVA, Orient: Yes, I think it's a tremendous idea and I think as long as you're doing the $2.00 you might as well go to $5.00 and really do it up right. SUPERVISOR MURPHY: We're not doing the fees. They're not concerned on this. MRS. OLIVA: Oh, this is not the fees? TOWN CLERK TERRY: That has already been set by resolution. SUPERVISOR MURPHY: You set the fee by resolution. MRS. OLIVA: Well, I asked you to consider raising it to $5.00. I think it's a good idea. I think we should have done it a long time ago.
