Vice President South Fork Asphalt Corporation Springs-Fireplace Road Drawer 2028 East Hampton, New York 11937 Dear Mr. Panchak: In response to your letter of July 3rd relative to the irregularities in the Sand Mix Asphalt Bid, please be advised that after the bid opening, when reviewing the bids, I discovered that Paul Corazzini & Sons had included their bid for the Sand Mix in the same envelope with their bid on the Asphalt Concrete Annual Contract bid, and failed to included a second bid check. A further review disclosed that Corazzini was the lowest bidder. This matter was discussed with our Town Attorney who advised that it would be in the best interests of the Town of Southold to rebid the Sand Mix Asphalt. Very truly yours, Judith T.
