A Local Law in Relation to Permits
for guests to park at Town beaches.
BE IT ENACTED by the Town Board of the Town of Southold as follows:
§1. Section 65-3 of Chapter 65 (Parking at Beaches) is hereby amended
by adding a new subsection thereto to be Subsection E to read as follows:
E. Guesl Permits
(1)
Guest parking permits shall be issued by the Town Clerk, or a
person designated by the Town Clerk, to all persons who are
qualified residents of the Town of Southold, as defined in Section
65-3A hereof, for use by guesls t~mporarily residing in the
dwelling of such resident. A resident applying for a guest parking
permit shall present an application in affidavit form, signed by
the applicant, setting forth the following:
(a) The location Of the property to be occupied by the guests.
(b) The names and permanent, addresses of the guests.
(c) The length of time of the guest Occupancy.
(2)
Upon a determination by the Town Clerk, or person designated by
the Town Clerk. that the applicant is entitled to a guest parking
permit, and upon the payment of the permit fee, such permit
shall be issued and inscribed with the vehicle license registration
number and shall be affixed to the vehicle in the same manner as
provided in Section 65-3A (3) hereof.
(3)
The fee for the issuance of a guest parking permit shall be such
fee as shall be prescribed by a resolution or the Southold Town
Board.
~2. This Local Law shall take effect immediately.

SUPERVISOR PELL: This is a public hearing on a proposed Local Law
to permit parking permits for guests at Town beaches. Councilman
Nickles will read the notice.
COUNCILMAN NICKLES: "Public Notice is hereby given that there has
been presented to the Town Board of the Town of Southold, Suffolk
County, New York, on the 23rd day of November, 1982, a Local Law,
entitled, "A Local Law in Relation to Permits for guests to park
at Town Beaches." Said Local Law reads as follows:
1. Section 65-3 of Chapter 65 (Parking at Beaches) is hereby
amended.by adding a new subsection thereto to be Subsection E to
read as follows:
E. Guest Permits.
(1) Guest parking permits shall be issued by the Town Clerk,
or a person designated.by the Town Clerk, to all persons who are

Town Clerk to any interested persons during'business, hours. Notice
is further given that the Town Board of the Town of Southold will
hold a public hearing on. the aforesaid Lo'cal Law at the Southold
Town Hall, Main Road, Southold, New York~ on the ~lst day of December,
1982, !at 3:35 o'clock P.M. at which time all interested persons will

SUPERVISOR PELL: Thank you. Does anybody wish to be heard in favor
of this proposed Local Law? (No response.) This pertains to the
parking permits for the summer guests. Anybody wish to be heard in
opposstlon to it? (No response.) If not, I declare the hearing
