our deliveries on the cost of Northville Long Island Tank Car Reseller price
plus a fixed shipping charge of $.07 per gallon for all gasolines available.
Please note that regular leaded gasoline is no longer available, but we can
supply unleaded 87 Octane, unleaded plus of 89 Octane and super unleaded of
92 Octane.

SPECIFICATIONS FOR PURCHASE OF
GASOLINE BY THE TOWN OF SOUTHOLD
FOR CALENDAR YEAR 1990
Under the specifications, the Town of Southold seeks bids for the
purchase of all of its gasoline requirements for the 1990 calendar year for all
Town Departments.
The Police Department maintains a 5,000 gallon capacity tank at the Police'
Headquarters at Peconic, New York, and uses approximately 55,000 gallons of
unleaded gasoline annually.
The Highway Department maintains a 5,000 gallon tank for regular
gasoline and a 2,000 gallon tank for unleaded gasoline. All tanks are located
at the Highway Department premises at Peconic Lane, Peconic, New York.
The Highway Department uses approximately 30,000 gallons of regular gasoline'
annually, and approximately 2,200 gallons of unleaded gasoline annually.
In submitting bids, the bidder may either submit a fixed price per gallon!;
to be charged throughout the term of the contract, or a price which is based
on a rack price at the bidder's source of supply. If a rack price is used,
the lowest rack price within five (5) days of each delivery to the Town must

be used. Verification of the rack price used by the bidder must be supplied

by the bidder to the Town upon request.
The successful bidder will be required to make deliveries to the Town
within eight (8) hours of a request for a delivery from any Town Official,
and such bidder will be required to make deliveries on any day of the week,
including Saturdays, Sundays and Holidays. The successful bidder must
make deliveries in such quantities of 250 gallons or more, as may be required.:
Bid prices are not to include any Federal, State or Local Tax from which
the Town of Southold is exempt.
The Town of Southold reserves the right to reject any and all bids if it

is deemed in the best interest of the Town of Southold to do so.
Bids must include a non-collusive bid certificate and be submitted in
sealed envelopes and addressed to the Town Clerk, Town of Southold, Town
Hall, Main Road, Southold, New York 11971 , and have plainly marked on the
outside of the envelope "GASOLINE BID".
