V. RESOLUTIONS
Special Note: At the start of the Town Board Meeting the Supervisor will invite the public to
speak on the following resolutions.
23. Authorize Building Inspectors Gary Fish, John Boufis and Bruno Semon to attend the 27th
annual Continuing Educational Conference March 18-21, 2002 in Rochester.
24. Amend resolution #887 (200.1) changing Senior Environmental Planner Mark Terry's start
date f~om January 2 to Janaury 8, 2002.
25. Authorize and direct Town Clerk Neville to advertise for the sale of used police vehicles.
26. Grant permission to Recreation Supervisor Ken Reeves to attend the 62na Annual NYS
Recreation & Park Society Conference March 10-13, 2002 in Syracuse.
27. Authorize modification to the 2001 Police budget for vehicle maintenance, repairs and
impound.
28. Authorize modification to the General Fund Part Town 2001 budget for Building

Grant permission for Police Sgt. Richard Perkins to attend the International Association of
Dive Rescue Specialists February 7-9, 2002 in Cleveland, Ohio.
Provisionally appoint Scott Hughes to the frill-time position of Senior Environmental
Planner in the Planning Department.
Amend resolution #12 changing the hiring date of Theresa Van Etten from January 22 to
January 14, 2002.
Approve reimbursement to Louise Cardellina for vehicular damages suffered at the
Transfer Station.
Authorize modification to the General Fund Whole Town 2002 budget for cellular
telephone services in the Supervisor's office.
Authorize modification to the Highway Fund 2001 budget for overdrawn line items.
Authorize and direct Supervisor Horton to execute an agreement with Island Group
Administration for 2002.
Authorize modification to the General Fund Whole Town 2002 budget to appropriate
donated money for park equipment.
Authorize modification to the General Fund Whole Town 2002 budget to appropriate
money for park improvements for Dock Beach, Fishers Island.
Authorize Supervisor Horton and Deputy Supervisor Romanelli to sign signature cards for
the Consortium Home Improvement Program at Citibank.

Authorize and direct Supervisor Horton to submit applications to New York State
Deparuuent of State for Local Waterfront Revitalization Projects and any other water
quality projecrs.

43. Authorize modification to the General Fund 2001 budget for payroll and equipment in the
Town Clerk's office.
44. Authorize and direct Supervisor Horton to sign a contract with the NYS DEC for the
implementation of a drainage project in West Harbor, Fishers Island.
45. Approve assignment of D&B engineering fees in for the design ora permanent road over the
landfill cap to provide access to the compost site to the compost site project.
46. Authorize appointing Nelson, Pope & Voorhis to perform the SEQRA process in relation to
the Mattituck Inlet grant applications, if necessary.
47. Authorize and direct Supervisor Horton to execute all necessary documents for the Town to
apply for New York State grants in relation to the Goldsmith Inlet area.
48. Authorize appointments to Blue Ribbon Commission for Preservation of Rural Southold.
49. Authorize refund in the amount of 50% of the fee paid for a building permit to Manzi
Homes on property orR. Glover & Wife.

52. Appoint Rosina Suglia to the position of Deputy Tax Receiver.

Designate the Suffolk County National Bank as a depository of the Town of Southold,
Receiver of Taxes, and that funds of this corporation deposited in said bank (money market)
be subject to withdrawal when signed by any two of its noted officers.
