SOUTHOLD PLANNING BOARD Monthly Report Summary,March, 2014 o Information-gathering forum for real estate agents regarding their experiences with buyers of commercial property to help us determine whether there are businesses trying to land in Southold that cannot, and if so, if the reason was related to land use or zoning regulations. May 29. Thirty-five people attended. • Suffolk County Hazard Mitigation Plan. Completed Southold's part of the plan together with Lloyd Reisenberg and Jamie Richter. • Submitted Final Paperwork and Final Voucher in the amount of$28,054.36 for zoning work on Plum Island with $14,027 to be reimbursed to the Town under the Planning and Development of Town of Southold Code Revisions project(EPF LWRP Grant C006789). • Stormwater Management in the Town of Southold Phase II project(EPF LWRP Grant C006878)—Requested and received an extension of grant to re-align $66,623 in state funding to construct storm water controls in the swale off Mill Rd in Mattituck. • New Town Code - Solar Power. Worked with Town Attorney in drafting new town code permitting solar power facilities,prepared Planning analysis to support the new code and conducted the environmental review(SEQR) for the local law. • Phragmites Eradication Project.
