The tool provided I shall be the manufacturer' s current production model and shall be f built no earlier than the 1993 model year. The tool shall be fabricated from T-1 steel. It shall consist of the following components: -- Mounting Bracket -- Base Pivot Group r - Shear Jaws Hydraulic Cylinders MOUNTING BRACKET: The mounting bracket shall be designed to allow Che mounting of the tool on a rubber tired wheel loader. it shall be capable of being a mounted to the loader arms by means of the normal bucket mounting r. pins without the need for modifications to' the loader arms . The loader to be employed, shall be identified by model and serial number at the time of order in order to insure proper fit for the mounting bracket. u t BASF PIVOT GROUP: The .base pivot group shall ,be a T-1 steel fabrication to which the shears and hydraulic cylinders shall mount. It shall have an overall width of not less than 77" . It shall have a depth of not less than 14 3/32" It shall be laid out so .that the shear pivots E shall be positioned toward the center and the hydraulic cylinder mounts shall be' positioned toward the ends . SHEAR JAWS: r The shear jaws ,shall. be fabricated from 2", 111-1 steel. They shall be mounted to the pivot group by chromed pins with a pin diameter of not less than 3 1/2" . The maximum jaw opening shall be not Less than 58 13/3201 . E HYDRAULIC CYLINDERS: The tool shall employtwo (2 ) double acting -hydraulic cylinders, one -( 1) for each jaw. _ The cylinders shall have a bore and stroke of not less than 7" x 12" . The cylinders shall be able to operate on - a flow of between 30 qpm and 80 gpm at a pressure : of between r 2,000 psi and 3 , 500 psi . P ° t� The loader designated by the Town to operate this tool is equipped If with the necessary hydraulic valving, piping and controls for its operation. It will be the vendor' s responsibility to provide the necessary hoses and quick couplers to mate the tools hydraulics to the loader. SPECIFICATION FOR: A STUMP BUSTER II f It is the intent of this specification to describe a hydraulically operated tool for the cutting of tree stumps. The tool provided E shall be the manufacturer ' s current production model and shall be t built no earlier than the 1993 model year. The tool shall be fabricated from T-1 steel. It shall consist of the following components: �F . Fa - Mounting Bracket f- -- Base Pivot Group { - Shear Jaws f - Hydraulic Cylinders MOUNTING 13RACXET The mounting bracket shall be designed to allow the mounting of the tool on a rubber tired wheel loader, it shall be capable of being mounted to the loader arms by means of the normal bucket mounting pins without the need for modifications to- the loader arms. The loader to be employed, shall be identified by model and serial number at the time of order in order to insure proper fit for the f mounting bracket. i BASIS PIVOT GROUP The base pivot group shall ,be a T-1 steel fabrication to which the shears and hydraulic cylinders shall mount. It shall have an overall width of not less than 77" . It shall have a depth of not less than 14 3/32" . It shall be laid out so that the shear pivots shall be positioned toward the center and the hydraulic cylinder mounts shall be positioned toward the ends . SHEAR JAWS The shear jaws shall be fabricated from 2". 1-1, steel. They shall be mounted to the pivot group by chromed pins with a pin diameter of not less than 3 1/2" . The maximum jaw ripening shall be not less than 58 13/32" , HYDRAULIC CYLINDERS: The tool shall employ two (2 ) double acting hydraulic cylinders, one ( 1) for each jaw. The cylinders shall have a bore and stroke of not less than 7" x 12" . The cylinders shall be able to operate on a flow of between 30 qpm and 80 gpm at a pressure of between 2, 000 psi and 3, 500 psi. f a i The loader designated by the Town to operate this tool is equipped with the necessary hydraulic valving, piping and controls for its operation. It will be the vendor' s responsibility to provide the necessary hoses and quick couplers to mate the tools hydraulics to the loaner.
