A regular meeting of the Southold Town Trustees was called to
order at 1=30 P.M. by President Alvah B. Goldsmith. The meeting
was held on October 5, 1964 with the following present~
Allah B. Goldsmith,
Frank Dawson, John F. McNulty and Marion Regent.
An application for dredging creeks in Riverhead Town was received
from Robert B. Vojvoda. In view of the apparent oversight in trans-
fer of title bo lands under water to Riverhead To~nship, it is
the unaniumous opinion of the Southold Town Trustees that Southold
Town waive all right, title and interest in said land under water
in Riverhead Township and recommends that Town Counsel prepare
the necessary legal forms to accomplish such an action. Application
of Robert B. Vo]voda as Supervisor of Riverhead Township was
granted ~ with no charge.
Application of Walter Lahmann, Mattituck N.Y. to construct a dodk
4~ wide, 70~ long and two (2) mooring piles in Mattituck Creek
in front of their own property was granted. Fee $36.00.
Application of Mrs. Elizabeth A. Yaro of Laughing Water, Southold,
New York, to maintain a mooring in Corey Creek was granted.Fee 50¢.
Applications of Douglas,Jacobs, Helen Redhead and William Chapek
to place stakes in Corey Creek, at Laughing Water, Southold,
were refused and letters were written advising them to consult
the Laughing Water Property Owneres Association which has already
been issued a permit for 30 boats in that area.
An application received from William Wickham, attorney for Lee
and Hlice Sargent, for dredging in Aquebogue waters, Town of
Riverhead, was held until a transfer of title to lands under
water in Riverhead Township can be transacted.
An application of C. Edward Nelson to dredge in Deep Hole Creek
was held for investigation by Mr. Dawson and Mr. McNult~.
