A regular meeting of the Southold Town Trustees was called
to order at 1=30 P.M. by President Alvah B. Goldsmith at the
Southold Town Clerk office on Monday, August 31, 1964.

A check for $4,246.50 was received by the Town Trustees fDom
the County of Suffolk fDr property in Mattituck acc~uired by
the County for extension of Middle Road (County Route 27A).
The check was forwarded to the Supervisor on August 14, 1964
and a receipt was received for same.
An application fr~m Edwin H. King for permission to install
14 spiles with peak roof over top of spiles to house eight
boats at his marina on Narrow River Road, Orient, N.Y. was
granted. Fee $7.00.

Application for the following stakes were approved:
Michael ~,. H~ische - two stakes - Town Creek - $1.00
Ray I. Young one stake - Town Creek - .50
John B. U1p - two stakes - Jockey Creek 1.00
Application of Robert Coningsby to place a stake in Corey
Creek at Laughing Water was held until the area was invest-
igated. After investigation it was decided that since the
Trustees had issued a permit for 30 boats to the Laughing
Water Property Owners Association that the Board would
not issue permits to individuals in that area. A letter
was sent to Mr. Coningsby.
The application of Nowak, Ouit and Ostheimer for a permit to
bulkhead, dredge and install floating dock was held open
until the Planning Board made it's decision concerning a
marina in that area.
