The Town of Southold, on November 10, 1992 awarded bids to Agway Energy
Products for supplying the Town of Southold with Diesel Fuel, Gasoline, and
Heating Fuel Oil for fiscal year 1993. The Town of Southold requires a letter from
Tuthill McGee stating you will honor those bid prices, which are as follows:
Diesel Fuel: A price which will be plus $.0665 per gallon over the Long Island
Tank Car Consumer Rack Price, as posted daily in the Journal of Commerce under
the Northville Industries Corporation listing.
Gasoline: A price that will be plus $.0595 per gallon over the Long Island
Tank Car Consumer Rack Price, as posted daily in the Journal of Commerce under
the Northville Industries Corporation listing.
Heating Fuel Oil: A price which will be plus $.0665 per gallon over the Long
Island Tank Car Consumer Rack Price, as posted daily in the Journal of Commerce
under the Northville Industries Corporation listing.

area can be most effectively served by another quality energy products distributor. I am
pleased to inform you that we are transferring our Riverhead operation to Tuthill McGee,
a division of Giffords Energy.
We have carefully chosen Tuthill McGee because they have earned a reputation for honesty,
integrity and stability in your community. They have been in business locally for over 50
years and have facilities in Riverhead and Southampton.
Tuthill McGee will assume total responsibility for delivering your Heating Oil, Diesel Fuel,
Gasoline and Kerosene, as well as providing complete heating services 24 hours a day, 355
days a year.
The sale of Agway Energy Products Riverhead operation does not affect any of the other
Agway operations in the area. Agway will continue to operate retail stores and provide
farm customer services and products. In addition, the Agway Energy Products cardtrol
fueling facility at Riverhead will continue to be operated by Agway Energy Products.
However, our Southold facility will be closing in the near future..
You will receive a final billing statement from Agway Energy Products for delivered fuels.
If you have any questions about these accounts, please phone the same local number you
have been calling in the past.

SPECIFICATIONS FOR PURCHASE OF
GASOLINE BY THE TOWN OF SOUTHOLD
FOR CALENDAR YEAR 1993
Under these specifications, the Town of Southold seeks bids for the
purchase of all of its gasoline requirements for the 1993 calendar year for
all Town Departments.
The Police Department maintains a 2,500 gallon capacity tank at the
Police Headquarters at Peconic, New York, and uses approximately 55,000
ga-14ons of unleaded gasoline annually.
The Highway Department maintains a 1,000 gallon tank for unleaded
gasoline and a 1 ,000 gallon tank for unleaded plus gasoline. All tanks are
located at the Highway Department premises at Peconic Lane, Peconic, New
York. The Highway Department uses approximately 12,000 gallons of
unleaded gasoline annually, and approximately 14,000 gallons of unleaded
plus gasoline annually.
In submitting bids, the bidder may either submit a fixed price per
gallon to be charged throughout the term of the contract, or a price which
is based on a rack price at the bidder's source of supply. If a rack price
is used, the lowest rack price within five (5) days of each delivery to the
Town must be used. Verification of the rack price used by the bidder
must be supplied by the bidder to the Town upon request.
The successful bidder will be required to make deliveries to the Town
within eight (8) hours of a request for a delivery from any Town Official,
and such bidder will be required to make deliveries on any day of the
week, including Saturdays, Sundays and Holidays. The successful bidder
must make deliveries in such quantities of 250 gallons or more, as may be
required.
Bid prices are not to include any Federal, State or Local Tax from
which the Town of Southold is exempt.
The Town of Southold reserves the right to reject any and all bids
if it is deemed in the best interest of the Town of Southold to do so.
Bids must include a non-collusive bid certificate and be submitted in
sealed envelopes and addressed to the Town Clerk, Town of Southold, Town
Hall, 53095 Main Road, Southold, New York 11971 , and have plainly marked
on the outside of the envelope "GASOLINE BID".
