Management of 1993 Recreation Program
THIS AGREEMENT, made this /1 ? day of y, 1993, between the TOWN OF SOUTHOLD, a municipal corporation of the State of New York, having its principal office at Town Hall, Main Road, Southold, New York, (the "Town") and RICHARD C. HILARY, d/b/a BVER, with a principal place of business at Teepee Trail, Southold, New York, 11971, (the "Contractor") WITNESSETH: 1 . The Town does hereby agree to pay the Contractor, and the Contractor does hereby agree to provide administrative and management services to the Town's recreation program as hereinafter described, subject to the terms and conditions hereinafter set forth. 2. The Contractor will be responsible for the administration and management of all recreational programs offered by the Town. The recreational programs shall include, but shall not be limited to, those programs listed on Exhibit "A". It shall be the responsibility of the Contractor to set up all programs with adequate supervision and qualified staff subject to the other terms of this agreement. This responsibility shall include but shall not be limited to the following: that properly trained and certified life-guards, properly trained and certified swimming instructors, beach attendants, aerobic instructors and all other supervisory and staff personnel with appropriate CPR and first aid training are available when required. 3. The Contractor will manage and administer all Town recreation programs and will coordinate all Town programs with the recreation activities of the local schools, youth groups, senior citizen clubs, and other entities. 4. The Contractor will assess the need to enhance existing Town program offerings and, from time to time, will so advise the Town Board in writing of any suggestions or recommendations. 1 5 '- The term= of this contract shall be from January 1, 1993 through December 31-';'-1993 _ -6. The- :Town agrQes to-, compensate the -Contractor for the aforesaid services in—Ahe?-,total amount of. $18,900.00, to be paid in monthly payments of $1,575:.00- upon the submission by the Contractor of vouchers therefor to the Town. 7. The Town with-:provide to the Contractor with an office, telephone and_dart_-time.-clerical---assistance. 8. -It is understood that, as -part oft its recreation program, Ahe Town will engage instructors to render instructional services. 9. Contractor will confer with the Stype Agency and Bill Mullen at periodic intervals to ascertain the potential liability of projected program offerings. 10. All recreation programs shall be approved by the Town Board prior to the commencement of said programs. Contractor is expected to coordinate, manage, and administer all Town recreation programs with the recreation activities of the local schools, youth groups, senior citizen clubs, and other entities. In addition, contractor will assess the need to enhance existing Town program offerings and will so advise the Town Board. The contractor will be responsible for a schedule that includes daytime, late afternoon, evening, and weekend hours.
