Mr. & Mrs, Duff appeared before the Board to inquire about
the water in front of their property as to whether or not it
was public waters. After considerable discussion, the Duffs
were advised that the Board felt they were not bordering on
a private canal, and that they would receive favorable con-
sideration from the Board for future requests to maintain it.
Application of ALFRED C, ROW~HLT, amended to ~O feet in length
for the dock instead of the original 60 feet was received.
Permit granted. Fee $10.00.
Hpplication of Geopgett9 & AN~ELO PETRUCCI, for permission
to dredge a channel into his property at Broadwaters, 50 feet
in lemgth, 25 feet in width and 3 feet in depth below low water
was received. Since the total excavation of materials was
estimated at 200 cu. yards the fee is to be $25.00.
Application of LOUISE PFEIL for permission to dredge a channel
in Haywaters Cove 200 feet in length , 15 feet in width to a
depth of ~ feet below Iow water was received. This dredging
appears to be a Iontinuation of the dredged channel approved
for Mr. Herman W. Johnston. Permit granted. Fee $25.00.
A request from Attorney Francis J. 0'Marra was read asking the
Town Trustees for a release on the filled area between the
original H. W. Mark in Mattituck Creek and the new H. W. Mark
(on property between Johnson and Tagliavia) caused by the
dredging of Mattituck gxmmk Inlet.
From the appearance of this lot on the map in relation to
adjoining properties, it was the concensus of the Board that
it would be necessary for a mutually satisfactory division
line to be established by the owners of the properties, and
when such a line was established the Board would issue a release
flpon submission of properly drawn documents for the filled
land ~ppropriate to each parcel.
A special meeting will be held Monday evening Dec. 1, 1958,
with the Town Board if agreeable with them for the p~pose of
drawing up an appropriate Town Ordinance relating to our Town
waters.
