The Southold Town Trustees met at the Town Clerk Office, Southold, New York,
on June 8, 1970, at 7:30 P.M. with the following present: Alvah B. Goldsmith,
Frank Dawson, George Simpson, John F. McNulty, Douglas Robertson and
Marion Regent, Secretary.
Application of John Norman, Fox Hollow Road, Hideaway Estates, Mattituck,
New York, to install floating dock and catwal~ 42' x 6' in Mattituck Creek
was granted with the understanding that the structure will not extend off
shore beyond the line of existing docks in that area. Fee $23.00.
Application of T. Randolph Bruckner to use mooring ~24, Goose Bay Association
at the end of Cedar Drive, Goose Bay Estates, Southold was granted. $1.00 pd
Application of David R. Lundin, Pine Neck Road, Southold, to place a stake
in Goose Creek in front of property owned by Charles Gagen was granted, Mr.
Gagen ha~ing given permission for same. $1.00 paid.
Application of Ralph T. Preston Inc., Greenport, New York, to dredge in
Sterling Creek, 300' x ~0' was reviewed. The Trustees find to the best of
their knowledge that this property does not come under the jurisdiction
of the Trustees. Therefore, no action was taken and a letter was forwarded
to Charles King. Sec. and Treasurer.
The Trustees visited the area of Edwin Smith's application for a bulkhead
at Broadwaters, Cutchogue, New York to determine as near as possible the
high water mark to be used in the application. It was determined that the
SW corner of the bulkhead should be out no farther than ordinary high water
mark and the opposite side should be approximately 18' back from the face
of the present bulkhead as shown in red ink on the application. Application
to dredge in channel approximately 25 yads. to fill in back of bulkhead
was approved. Fee $16.00. ~. ~~
