The work covered by this application may not be commenced before issuance of Building Permit. d. Upon approval of this application, the Building Inspector will issue a Building Permit to the applicant. Such a permit shall be kept on the premises available for inspection throughout the work. e. No building shall be occupied or used in whole or in part for any purpose what so ever until the Building Inspector issues a Certificate of Occupancy. f. Every building permit shall expire if the work authorized has not commenced within 12 months after the date of issuance or has not been completed within 18 months from such date. If no zoning amendments or other regulations affecting the property have been enacted in the interim, the Building Inspector may authorize, in writing, the extension of the permit for an addition six months. Thereafter, a new permit shall be required. Box 1776 Southampton, NY 11969 RE: SCTM #1000-63:1-1.11 & 1.12 SCTM #1000-59.-4-8.1 & 9.1 Peconic Land Trust, Incorporated Request for Land Preservation Committee Review of Installation of irrigation well and deer fencing on properties on which Town owns a development rights easement Dear Luke: At its meeting held on February 4, 2014, the Land Preservation Committee, in accordance with Section 70-5 C. (2) [3] of the Town Code, reviewed your formal requests dated January 15, 2014, for approval of the installation of a 4" irrigation well and deer fencing upon lands on which the Town owns a development rights easement. The recorded easement for these properties allows land within the easements to be used for the purpose of agricultural production which includes irrigation systems and fencing for agricultural purposes. Section 70-5-C. (2) [3] requires that the Committee serve as a review board for the granting of permits for the construction, reconstruction and additions of and to structures in or on agricultural lands in which the development rights have been acquired by the Town. The Committee is approving the uses you requested, as listed and clarified below, to be allowed within the development rights easement areas. The Committee's approval does not mean that you can proceed with installation. All improvements are subject to all applicable Town Code requirements. • Installation of a 4" irrigation well for agricultural purposes on parcel identified as SCTM #1000-63.-1-1.11 which will service lots SCTM #1000-63.-1-1.12; 1000-59.4-8.1 & 9.1 • Installation of approximately 1533 feet of 8' high deer exclusion fencing on farm perimeter which will include two 16' wide access gates; one being located along CR 48 (SCTM #1000-59.-4-8.1) and the other along Hortons Lane (SCTM #1000-63.-1-1.12) in Southold Please note that the Committee's approval of these uses within the easement areas does not mean that such uses will be approved or permitted by other Town Departments or agencies.
