The Southold Town Trustees met at the Town Clerk Office, Southold, on
Monday, March 1, 1971 at 7:30 P.M. with the following present: Alvah B.
Goldsmith, George Simpson, Frank Dawson, and Douglas Robertson. Absent:
John F. McNulty and Marion Regent, Secretary due to illmess.
Also present: Mr. Charles Hart and Mr. Kispert of Goose Neck Estates and
Mr. Steve Mitacchione of Cutchogue.
Mr. Steve Mitacchione attended the meeting and submitted a revised app-
lication for dredging Eugene's Creek at its northern extremity to provide
access to his property adjacent to Eugene's Road, Cutchogue. Motion made
and carried that Mr. Mitacchione's application be approved as submiited.
Mr. Charles Hart as president of Goose Neck Estates, Southold, submitted
a letter to the Town Trustees requesting some action be taken to improve
the flushing action of West~ Creek~at Goose Creek and to improve the
access channel from West Creek to Goose Creek where the County dredged
it previously. Upon discussion of the plans of Goose Neck Estates it
was resolved that Mr. Hart will formulate detailed plans of the project
and submit this to both the Town Trustees and the Southold Town Board.
Application of Mr. William M. Crawford for the purpose of bulkheading
his property at Goose Neck Estates was held in abeyance pending receipt
of survey of his property.
Application of William A. Kennedy,Cutchogue, N.Y. to install four (4)
pilings at his dock on East Creek, Cutchogue, was approved. Fee $4.00.
Application of Robert Rothman, Southold to maintain
basin at his dock in Jockey Creek, Southold was approved. Fee $2.00.
Application of Albert Sacco to bulkhead and dredge for backfall at his
property on Jockey Creek, Southold was approved, all in accordance
with the application. Fee $28.25.
A letter was received from William Wickham, Esq. Office regarding a
grant of land to Mrs. Rosalie Lehmann on Matti~uck Creek,rD quitclaim~
~. ~.~ ~ ~ .,~ as a result of dredging by the County of Suffolk.
Deeds were signed by the Town Trustees. Fee $1.00 received.
Application of Dr. Thomas Samuels, Cutchogue, ~o redredge a basin
the purpose of cleaning out accumulated silt deposit was approved.
Fee $4.00.
