A special meeting of the Southold Town Trustees was held on June 4, 1962 for the purpose of examining several properties on Mattituck Inlet and at Jockey Creek prior to granting applications and permits. All members present. MEETING OF JUNE 25, 1962. A regular meeting of the Southold Town Trustees was called to order at 4 P.M. on Monday, June 25, 1962 at the Southold Town Clerk's Office. Present: Em~ons Dean, Philip Weiler, Frank Dawson, John McNulty, Allah B. Goldsmith and Marion Regent. Mr. Edwin King of Orient, N.Y. appeared befDre the Board to explain the work he has done on bis property in Hallocks Bay, Orient. He was asked to submit a detailed sketch showing all dredging and structures for the Boards formal action. Application of Edgar and Arlene Marvin for a permit to erect a dock in Mattituck Creek off their property in Shore Acres was approved. Fee $10.00. Application of Earle Linton and John M. King for permit tO dredge eroded area in Jockey Creek Channel in front of their property was approved. Fee $10.00. Application of John E. Clark for permit t.o erect 2 stakes in James Creek off the property of Salt Lake Village was returned without action. The Secretary was asked to advise the applicant that no permit could he granted without the written consent of th~ Salt Lake Village Property Owners Assoc. and the Lydia Bart- ley Assoc. Application of Mr. & Mrs. Edmund Curcuru for permit to erect stakes in Bay at t~e foot of Town Harbor Lane, Southold, was returned as the Board has no jurisdiction in this area in the Bay. Application of Rev. Arthur Goyette to moor boat to stake in Town Creek with anchor o~f stern to keep boat out of dredged channel was approved. Fee $.50. June 25, 1962 Cont. Application of Harry G. Case to erect stake in Wickhams Creek off their property was approved. Fee $.50. Application of Conrad Todrick for permission to erect one stake in Mattituck Creek west of Mattituck Park property at the foot of Love Lane, Mattituck was approved. Fee $.50. Application of Melvin Hermann for permit to put out a mooring and buoy at the foot of Haywater~'Creek was approved. Fee $.50. Application of James E. Mulhall to erect a stake in Town Creek east of the Park property was approved. Fee $.50. Application of Anthony Gloria for permit to erect a stake in Hallock's Bay, Orient, was approved. Fee $.50. It was voted that the legal notice covering the Town Ordinance relative to the installation of bulkheads, pilings, moorings and dredging in the Town waters be published in the LI Traveler- Mattituck Watchman~. and Suffolk Times, to run until further notice.
