HomeMy WebLinkAboutTR-02/03/1975147 MINUTES BOARD OF SOUTHOLD TOWN TRUSTEES Meeting of February 3, 1975 A regular meeting of the Board 0~ S0uth01d Town Trustees was held at 7:30 P.M., Mon~a~, February 3, 1975 at the Town Board meeting room, 16 South Street, Greenport, New York, with tke following present: Alvah B. Goldsmith, Chairman Douglas M. Robertson Phiiip G. Horton Frederick E. Gordon George Bird -~ A~®o present: Loretta Hess, Orville Terry, Bob R&nklin, Paul Stoutenburgh. Mr. Patrick Gorman, Chairman of the Cutchogue-New Suffolk Park District appeared before the Board to ~iscuss the possibility of the Town Trustees granting the Park District a quit claim deed to land on the north side of the Nassau-Point Causeway which was a result of the ~ounty dredging-BDoadwaters Cove some years ago. On motion of Mr. Horton, seconded by Mr. Gordon, it was RESOLVED that ~ upon presentation of ths pooper papers to the Town Trustees, a quit claim deed will be granted to the Cu~chogue- New Suffolk Park District ~overing certain lands located on the north side of the Nassau Point Causeway. Uote of the Board: Ayes: Mr. Goldsmith, Mr. Robertson, Mr. Horton, Mr. Gordon, Mr. Bird. Recommendation upon the application ~of Rev. Donald P. Brickley for a wetland permit was tabled until the March meeting, pending receipt of information requested from the Suffolk County Department of Health. 148 On motion of Mr. Robertson, seconded by Mr. Bird, it was RESOLVED that Joseph M. Gold, Main Bayview Road, Southold, New York be granted permission to place an ~ffshore mushroom mourlng in Corey Creek, at the foot of..'pr~i~ate r~ight-of-way ~ff Main Bayview Road, all in accordance with the detailed specifications as presented in the originating application. Fee $5.00. Vote of the Board: A~es: Mr. Goldsmith, ~r. Robertson, Mr. Horton, Mr. Gordon, Mr. Bird. On motion of Mr. Gordon, seconded by Mr. H~ton, it was RESOLVED that Eugene J. Mc~artlan'd, Bayview Road, Southold, New York be granted permission to place anion, shore stake and offshore ~ ~ d~e ded ~ anchor in 'eorey Cr.eek, at~ the foot of priva~eT~lght-~f-way off Main Bayview R~ad, all in accordance with the detailed specifications as presented in the originating application. Fee $5.00. Vote of the Board: Ayes: Mr. Goldsmith, Mr. Robertson, Mr. Horton, Mr. Gordon, Mr. Bird. Application of John J. ~erdinks, 315 Pat Lane, Mattituck, New York for permission to locate an offshO~e-onshore mooring in Mattituck Creek off Route 27A was tabled for investigation. On motion of Mr.~ Gordon,'. seco'nded by M_~. Bird, it was RESOLVED that the Board of Southold Town Trustee minutSs of January 6, 1975 De approved as submitted. Vote of the Board: Ayes: Mr. Goldsmith, Mr. Robertson, Mr. Horton, Mr. Gordon, Mr. Bird On motion of Mr. Horton,~sec~nded. by Mr. Robertson, it was RESOLVED that the ne~t regular me~ting of the Board of Southold Town Trustees will be. held at~ 7.:30 P.M., Monday, March 3, 1975 at the Tow~ Board meeting room, 16 South Street, Greenport, New York. Vo%e of the Board: Ayes: Mr. Goldsmith,' ~r. Robertson, Mr. Horton, Mr. Go~don, Mr. Bird. Paul Stoutenburgh suggested that ~the p~oposed amendment to the zoning ordinanCe relative to hotification of adjoining property owners, include notification of the Town Trustees if a change is proposed on property adjoining any town waters. General discussion was held relative to the inclusion of fresh wa~ter in th'e wetland ordinance. On motion of Mr. Gordon, seconded by Mr. Horton, it was RESOLVED that this Town Trustee meeting be adjourned at 8:30 P.M.
