The Southold Town Trustees met at the offfcecof Town Clerk on Monday,
July 14, 1969, at 7:30 P.M. with the follqwing present: Alvah B. Goldsmith,
Frank Dawson, George Simpson, John F. McN~lty, Douglas Robertson and
Marion Regent, Secretary.
Attorneys Richard Lark and Lefferts Edson appeared before the Board in
relation to o~taining a release to Frank Fagan and Valeska Fagan for a
dredged out boat basin in front of &hd~within their property at Gardiners
Bay Estate-s, East Marion, N.Y. The Trustees granted the release aT~ in!-~a
aCcOrdance with the description and map presented to them. Fee $1.00 paid.
Mr. Baldwin explained to the Trustees that since the bulkhead had been
constructed at Fisher men's Beach, at the end of Haywater's Road, Cutchogue,
the channel is impassable except in medium high tides. The Trustees
assured Mr. Baldwin that they would investigate and Mr. Goldsmith will
call Dr. Samuels, who constructed the bulkhead.
Attorney Lark discussed the dredging done by his client William Victoria.
The Trustees will visit the area and plan to have Otto VanTuyl survey to
ascertain whether or not Mr. Victoria removed the amount of sand from Corey
Creek as was agreed upon.
Mr. Lark made it very clear that he felt the Trustees had been more than
fair in trying to make the best of a bad situationwith Mr. Victoria and
said that any criticism on the part of Mr. Victoria was unfair, unwarranted
and foundless.
Mr. Karl Ahlberg, Oak St., Southold, applied for the use of stake ~11,
Goose Bay Civic Assoc. Map, with permission by letter from the upland owner,
Mr. Herbert Hermanns. Permit was granted. Fee $1.00 paid.
Application of Jane T. Taqqert for four (4) stakes in Goose Creek, Southold,
in front of her own property was granted. Fee $4.00 paid.
Application was made by MAw & BURTON as Attorneys for William Bourquiqnon,
Jr. and Merle Joan Bourguiqnon for a quitclaim deed to filled land dredged
in by Suffolk County in Mattituck Creek in front of their property. MARS
and BURTON were notified that if they would prepare the quitclaim deed for
said filled land the Trustees will grant title to it. Fee $1.00.
Application was made by Emma T. Smith for use of stake ~35, Goose Bay Civic
Assoc. Map, located in front of her property. Permit granted. Fee $1.00.
Application of Lillian and Henry Schmeckpeper, Pine Tree Road,
to install a floating dock and ramp 12 x 6 in Little Creek in
property was granted. Fee $15.00.

Application of C. Bruce St&iger, Wells Rd., Peconic, to dredge beachfront,
100 x 20 to 30 feet in front of his property on Richmond Creek was granted
in accordance with the diagram accompanying the application. Fee $10.00

Application of Rita M. Pascua, Cedar Beach, to install a floating
dock in Little Peconic Bay was returned since the Trustees do not
have jurisdiction over the Bay.
Application of Bertha and Stanley Slama, Robinson Road,
install a mooring in Richmond Creek was held for further
