Meeting of March 17, 1969 Continued
Mr. Howard Sharman, Orient, New York, appeared before the Trustees
to comment on the permit that had been granted to Mr. John Tuthill
to dredge the mouth of the creek running into the Causeway meadows.
Mr. Sharman felt that an unnecessary amount of dredging had been done
thereby causing an excessive rise and fall of the tide in the meadows
with the result that it was endangering the natural growth of grasses
and meadows and disturbing the ecology.
Adjournment.
The next meeting of the Town Trustees will be on Monday, April
1969, at 7:30 P.M. in the Town Clerk Office, Southold, N.Y.
