A regular m~eting of the Southold ~own Trustees ~-as held at the Town

Office, Main Road, Southold, N.Y. at 7:30 p.M. on October 7, 1968, with
the following present: President Alvah B, Goldsmith, John F. McNulty,
Frank Dawson, George Simpson and Marion Regent, Secretary.
Mr. Rudolph Armburst appeared before the Board with a QuitClaim Deed
to filled area adjacent to his property on Mattituck Creek, said addit-
ional beach having been added by the County Dredging. The Deed was signed
by the Town Trustees and given to Mr. Armburst, a copy of which is in
the Trustee files.
Application of Charles Gaqen, Pine Neck Road, Southold, to dredge in
meadow grass and cover fill with top soil in front of his property on
Goose Creek along Clearview Avenue was discussed. The Board will invest-
igate the extent of dredging before a permit is granted.
Application of Robert Thompson to place a stake in Richmond Creek at
the end of South Harbor Lane, Southold, N.Y. was granted, subject to
the approval of the Emerson Family. Fee $1.00.
Application of Decatur S. Williams, East Marion, N.Y. to place one stak~
in Narrow River, Orient, was granted since Mr. Williams has had the stake
for many years. Fee $1.00 paid.
A letter was received from the Southold Planning Board in relation to
dredging proposals submitted by the Westbury Equipment Co., Inc. on
property located at Pipe's Neck, Arshamomaque, L.I. The Planning Board
will not approve any dredging of c~nals in uplands or meadow~lands or
cuts through any beaches in this area.
Application of Alexander Greendale to place a stake in Goose Creek was
held in abeyance until such time as the Goose Bay Civic Association can
agree upon a plan for boats in that area.
Mr. Hundley, President of Goose Bay Civic Association has submitted to
the Trustees a very well planned map which would make space for all up-
land owners of boats and leave a 50' space for each owner of property
along the beach. Mr. Simpson will ask Town ~torney Tasker's advice on
delegating the Association this area to issue permits within the
Association.
Application of John Wickham for a permit to straighten and deepen the
existing fresh water drain on his property was discussed. There appears
to be no objection to this application on the part of the Trustees.
Mr. Goldsmith will talk with Mr. Wickham further.
Application of C. H. Wickham, New Suffolk Avenue, Mattituck, to build
a dock 48' x 3' in Deep Hole Creek in front of his property was granted.
Fee $24.00.

The Trustees and the Attorney for-Mr. William Victoria, Richard Lark,
reviewed and discussed the case against Mr. Victoria. Since all the
Trustees,were not present, Mr. Robertson and Mr. Simpson being
unable to meet~at that time, the Trustees will visit the property
again in the near future.
The next meeting of the Southold Town Trustees will be Monday,
November 4, 1968, at 7:30 P.M. at the Town Office, Southold, N.Y.
