HomeMy WebLinkAboutTR-07/01/1968MEETING OF JUL~ 1, 1968 49 The Southold Town Trustees met at the Town Clerk Office, Southold, on Monday, July 1, 1968 with the following present: Douglas Hobertson, Frank Dawson, John F. McNulty, George Simpson and Marion Regent, Secretary. The minutes of the meeting of June 3, 1968 were read and approved. The following application for stakes or moorings were read and approved: Clifford Schriefer - one stake - Goose Creek, Southold - $1.00 Georqe Grossman - " " Sterling Harbor, Greenport - $1.00 Applications of James V. Gallo, Henry H. Friemann and Arthur Fleming to install floating docks 8' x 14' in front of their respective prop- erties on Little Creek were read and approved. Fee $12.00 each. Application of Richard J. Coster, Fisherman's Beach, Nassau Point, Cutchogue, to dredge and bulkhead a boat basin 24' x 14' in front of his property on Haywaters Cove was approved. Fee $15.50. Application of Lawrence P. Branniqan to construct a small landing pier in Dryad's Basin, Cedar Beach, Southold, 12' x 4' in front of his prop- erty was approved. Fee $6.00. Application of J. C. Heim, Haywaters Cove, Nassau Point, Cutchogue, to construct a dock 38' x 6' in Haywaters Cove in front of his property was approved. Fee $19.00. Application of K. Holland, Vanston Road, Nassau Point, Cutchogue, to dredge the mouth of the canal in Horseshoe Cove, Cutchogue~Harbor was discussed. Since this project will be advantageous to all residents in that area a minimum fee of $1.00 was charged. This project was examined by Mr. Douglas Robertson. The question was raised as to whether each stake issued should be tagged with the number of the permit. No action was taken. Mr. Hobertson examined the work of Mr. Vanderbeck in Wickham Creek and reported that he felt the permit should be issued. Application of Alfred P. Cook is to be examined by Mr. Dawson and Mr. McNulty. A letter was sent to Shanley and McKegney, Counselors at Law, 233 Broadway New York, 10007, to find out if they would be interested in representing the Town Trustees in the case of William Victoria regarding Corey Creek, Southold, N.Y.
