HomeMy WebLinkAboutTR-07/27/1954MINUTES OF TOWN TRUSTEE MEETING TOWN CLERK'S 0FFICE JULY 27, 19 +, SOUTHOLD, NEW YORK S8 A meeting of the Southold Town Trustees was held in Town Clerk's Office and was called to order at ~ P.M. by the President, Emmons Dean. Present: Emmons Dean, President Frank Dawson Lyle F. Tuthill John McNulty Alvah B. Goldsmith, Clerk Permits were signed on the following previously approved applications: Richmond Creek-South Harbor Prop. Owners Asstn. James D'Wolf Asphalts, Inc. Isabel C. Rich Miriam B. Goldsmith Howard Terry & Edward Mills Request of Mr. Bernard Vetter for permission to dredge out the entrance to Goldsmith's Inlet at Peconic and in return for this dredging to use fill removed therefrom to build up the original shore line in front of his property on the easterly side of said inlet, was discussed. The Board waived any objection to this proposal providing the property owners affected by this dr~dging agreed to it. The matter was to be referred to Town Counsel ~. G. Terry, Jr. for legal advice on the necessary agreements to be executed for the protection of the Town. Application of ~homas &. Litsch for permission to dredge was discussed and the Board ~oted to return the application for more specific details as to the area involved and the extent of dredging that was to be done. Application of Reidar Carstensen, Youngs Ave., Southold, for permission to dredge & erect a dock in front of his property was read. The Board voted to approve the application, fee to be $10.00. Application of William T. and Rose M. King for permission to dredge and us'~ fi~R~qven, Southold, was read. The Board, being unfamiliar with the property concerned, voted to return the application for more specific description and ~o have applicant secure consent of adjoining property owners to the proposal. Check in the amount of $2%.00 was received from G. VanderBorgh & Son for lease of Creek bottom in accordance with lease. Minutes were read and approved. The meeting adjourned at Alvah B. Goldsmith.
