TOWN CLERK'S OFFICE, SOUTHOLD~ NEW YORK
A meeting of the Town Trustees was held in the Town Clerk's
Office on Tuesday, May 25, 195~ at ~ P.M.
Present: E~mons Dean, President
Lyle F. Tuthill
Frank Dawson
John McNulty
Alvah B. GoldSmith, Clerk
Marion Winters
MinUtes of the peevious meeting were read for information.
Application of I~abel C. Rich for permission to dredge and
grade shore line to restore land eroded by storm was granted~
Fee to be $10.00.
Application of Howard Terry and Edward Mills for permission
to dredge through the beach and open up a pond for devel-
opment between their respective properties at Cedar Beach
Southold was read, the channel to be bulkheaded and dredged
out into the bay to a depth of % feet at mean low water.
It was voted to approve the application, fee to be $20.00.
Application of Asphalts~ Inc. to dredge the northerly bound-
ary of their property (apProximately 202') outside the
channel limits of Mattituck Inlet and to erect a dock
and dolphins was read. The application was approved, fee
to be $20.00.
Application of Dr. James F. D'~mlf for permission to dredge
and e~ect a doc~ on Town Creek in front of his property
on Youngs Avenue was read. Permit was granted, fee to be
$1o.oo.
Application of South Harbor Property Owner's Association,
(H. W. Wells, Sr., Pr~s.) to reopen the original channel
to Richmond's Creek and to erect a Jetty was read. The
application being grom a group, it was deemed a Community
Project. The application was approved and the fee was waived.
Application of Mi_~ Goldsmith for permission to erect
a small dock approximately~ f-~m high water mark on
Long Creek on the easterly side of Great Island was read.
The application was approved, fee to be $%.00.
It was decided to hold Town Trustee Meetings the last
Tuesday in the month at ~ P.M. during the s~mmer months.
The minutes were read and approved.
