The Southold Town Trustees met at the Town Clerk Office ~n Monday,
August 7, 1967, at 7:30 P.Mo with the following present; Alvah B.
Goldsmith, Douglas Robertson, Frank Dawson, John F. McNulty, Sr. and
Marion Regent, Secretary.
The minutes of the meeting of July 17, 1967, were read and approved.
The letter from Arthur Lundberg, Esq., Attorney for William Victoria,
relative to removing land from Town waters in Corey Creek as requested
by the Trustees was read and discussed. It was decided that the Town
Counsel, Robert Tasker, should be notified that the Trustees still
require that Mr. Victoria remove fill in Corey Creek in accordance
with the orders given in their letter of July 18, 1967.
Application of Thomas Shearin to place a stake in Eugene's Creek,
Cutchogue, N.Y. was granted. Fee 50¢ paid.¥
Application of Robert Fried to place two double dolphin poles in Gull
Pond, Greenport, in front of his property was granted Fee $2.00./
Application of Joseph H. F~djinski of New Suf6olk, N.Y. to place two
mooring stakes for a rowboat in West Creek, New Suffolk, was granted.
Fee $1.00. ~
Application of Philip R. Marriner of Deep Hole Drive, Mattituck,
to put a float in Deep Hole Creek 15' x 4' in front of his own prop-
erty was granted. Fee $7.50.J
Application of Henry Haqqerty of Laughing Water, Southold, to replace
an old bulkhead in Corey Creek in front of his property was granted
without charge since the construction is all on his own property.
Application of Georqe Ahlers and Barbara Rubin to dredge an existing
gutter of Jockey Creek, Southold in front of property owned by the
applicants was discussed and granted since the width of 25' and the
length of 85' is considerably less than the original application.
The estimated cu. yds. to be removed is 2588. the fee is $103.52.~
A petition was received from the home owners on the creek at Conklinq
Point, Greenport, requesting that the County dredge in that area to
allow free movement of water in hopes that this will eliminate the odor
which permeates. A letter was written to the Town Board stating that
a permit for this dredging would be favorably considered by the Board
of Trustees.
The Town Trustees agreed to keep all the Aerial View Pictures taken
by Mr. Lewis Edson in June 1967 at the cost of $162.00.
The Department of Public Works called by phone to say that they would
be una]~le to estimate the amount of fill placed on property of W~lliam
Beebe. Mr. Goldsmith will ask Wm. Beebe to give the Board an estimate.

Application of Albert R. Bert·s, of 124 Farragut Road,
Babylon, N.Y. for permission to place two stakes in
Jockey Creek, at the end of Gilbert Street, south·id,
was granted, subject to stakes being clear of channel and
ample clearance for taailer launching and hauling. Fee
Upon investigation it was discovered that Mr. Bertos
did not own property and did not rent in the Town of
South·Id. A letter was written to him as followm;
$1.00.
