The Southold Town Trustees met at the Town Clerk Office on
Monday, May 1, 1967, at 7:30 P.M. Present: Alvah Goldsmith,
George Simpson, Douglas Robertson, Frank Dawson, John F. McNulty,
Sr. and Marion Regent, Secretary.
The minutes of the meeting of April 4, 1967 were read and approved.
Mr. Kleinschmidt and Dr. Fechtiq,of Laurel, appeared before the Board
in relation to the area owned and operated by James Murray in
Brush's Creek. They are under the impression that Mr. Murray is
using his dock for commercial reasons and the Brush's Creek Assoc-
iation objects to a commercial business in a residential area.
The Trustees will investigate the situation.
Mr. John Eckart and Mr Martin Suter appeared before the Board in
relation to
1. Lizza Asphalt Construction Company which they feel have
dredged and bulkheaded beyond the request made and the permit
granted by the Trustees, and
limits
2. Frank No~gk. whom they feel is e~c~e~i~, th~/~ of the permit
~ranted by the Trustees-
The Trustees presented Secretary Marion Regent with a beautiful
basket of flowers in honor of Secretary Week.
Application of Christian Rasmussen, of Beebe Drive, Cutchogue,
was reconsidered by the Board. A permit was granted for a boat
basin in front of his property on Eugene's Creek all in accord-
ance with the application submitted. Fee $12.00 H
Application of John F. Hurley, Jr. to construct a bulkhead
in Mattituck Creek was discussed. The Trustees will investigate
same before making a decision.
Mr. Goldsmith reported that he had spoken to the Town Attonney
Robert Tasker, about obtaining a lawyer for the case against
Mr. William Victoria. It was Mr. Tasker's opinion that it would
not be necessary to the Town Trustees to initiate legal proceed-
ings since he had been informed by Mr. Lundburg that Mr. Victoria
was ready to comply iX the matter of restitution of the tow~ creek
bottom land, as soon as the Board of Trustees submitted a plan
indicating the work to be done.
Application of Burton C. Rackett to place one stake in Mill Creek,
Orient, in front of land owned by John B. Tuthill was granted, a
letter of approval from Mr. Tut~ill having been included with
the application. Fee 50¢ paid. ¢

Application of Joseph Fisher to p&ace a stake in Goose Creek, South-
old, 30 feet east of Gagen's Landing w-as approved provided that a
letter of permission from the upland owner is obtained. Fee 50¢ paid.
Application of Frank Leto, Southold, to place a stake at the end
of Meadow Lane in Mill Creek was granted,
