TOWN CLERK'S OFFICE -- SOUTHOLD~NEW YORK.
A meeting of the Town Trustees was held at the Town
Clerk's Office~ Southold~ N,Y.~ on March 27~ 1954~ at
1:30 P.M.
Present:
Emmons Dean~ President
John F. McNulty
Frank Damson
Alvah B. Goldsmith
Ressselaer G. Terry~ Jr.~
Marion A. Winters
Town Counsel
Minutes of the previous meeting were read for infor-
mation.
The cl~rk reported receiving a reply from Mr. Leo Roon.
The clerk was asked to write Mr. Roon requesting that
he file the application for the work on Jockey Cree~
as a matter of record.
Discussion was held on application of Mr. ~w. eet of
H. C. Rowe Company for permission to lease under water
for experimenting in the growth of seed oysters. The
Board went to look st the proposed locations that were
suiteble in Cedar Beach Creek and Corey's Creek. It was
voted to grant the lease for these locations for a three
year period on the same basis as was granted to George
H. Van der B~rgh & Son. The fee for same to be $?~.00
for a threeJperiodo A description and chart showing
these locations is to be furnished by H. C. ~owe Co.
Application of F. Harold Sayre for permission to dredge
and erect a doff ~n front or n~s property on Jockey Cre~k~
also to locate a pile for mooring a boat in Jockey Creek
on the easterly side of the channel approximately 400
feet north of his property was read. The permit was
granted: fee to be ~10.OO.
Application of Rev. Harold G. S~bin to ~rect a dock
and dredge in front of his property and to locate a pile
in Jockey Creek on the easterly side of channel ~pprox-
im8tely ~00 feet north of his property to tie up his
bo~t was re~d. The permit was granted- the fee to be
$1o.oo.
The minutes were read ~nd approved.
