A meeting of the Town Trustees was held at the Southold
Town Clerk's Office on Saturday, October 2~, 1953, at
1:30 P.M.
Present:
Emmons Dean, President
Lyle F. Tuthill
Frank Dawson
Alvah B. Goldsmith, Clerk
John McNulty
The Clerk Reported collection of bills as follows:
~.. Corey Albertsou~- Permit for dredging, grading
and erecting dock $10.00
Gen_~iav, M. Albertson - Permit for dredging~
grading and erecting
dock 10.00
Leo R?_~- Permit to dredge along shore line of
property in Goose Creek 25.00
All other bills have been sent out for permits, grants, etc.
A letter was received from A. L. R. Francisco requesting
a formal document covering his easement and that payment
would be made upon its being turned over to him.
Mrs. Marion Winters has typed up the minutes of previous
meetings and has a file in the Town Clerk's Office for
the k~&ping of all records of Town Trustees.
A lengthy discussion was held on the authority of the
Town Trustees to require compliance with their decisions
in the unauthorized encroachment upon properties under
their Jurisdiction. A ruling from the Town Counsel was
to be secured by the Clerk on this matter.
It was voted that future regular meetings of the Town
Trustees be held at 1:30 P.M. on the last Saturday of
each month.
It was suggested ~y Mr. ~uthill that a notice be published
in the local papers regarding the erection of
in Town waters and the necessity of securing permits for
erection of such docks in order to be free from violation.
President Dean expressed great appreciation to our Super-
visor, Norman E. Klipp, for his ~ooperation in securing
Marion Winters to help the Town ~rustees with their
typing and office work.
Minutes were read and approved.
The meeting adjourned at 3 P.M. ~~-
