SUP~RVISRO'S OFFICE, GRE~ORT; NEW YORK.
A meeting of the Town Trustees was held at the Supervisor's
Office in Greenport, New York, on September 18, 1953, at 7:~0 P.M.
Present:
President Emmons Dean
Lyle T~thill
Frank "awson
John Mc~ulty
Alvah Goldsmith
Supervisor Norman Klipp
The meeting was called to order by President Dean. Minutes
of the last me<~ting were read for information.
The Clerk reported that Mrs. Marion Winters had been en-
gaged to do tt~ typing of the bills, letters and minutes
and that all bills would be in the mail within the next few
days.
Applications for permits for improvement of W~nneweta
at Nassau Point ~ d dredging of Brush's Cree~ were to be
submitted by adjoining Property owners of respective locations
for action at our next meeting.
The matter of the derelict barge in Mill Creek Channel near
the highway bridge was discussed. It was reported by Mr. Dean
that this is a menace to the bridge and to navigation as well
as a source of possible injury to people who may be fishing
off:~ the wreck. It was decided to get the Town Counsel's
opinion as to the necessary legal steps that must be taken
to have this wreck removed.
The next meeting of the Board will be held on October 23, 1953,
at the Supervisor's Office in Greenport, New York, at 7:30 P.M.
Minutes were read and approved.
The meeting adjourned at 9 P.M.
