Meeting of Southold Town Trustees held at Supervisor's Office,
Greenport, New York, August 9, 19~l - Neeting called to order at
7:30 P.M. by President, Emmons Dean. Those present were:

H. Mason
L. Tuthill
A. Goldsmith
Supervisor Norman Klipp
State Auditor, ~. Miller
~. Dean turned over the meeting to Nr. ~iller who e×plained
that there should be better coordination between the Trustees
and the Supervisor and the Town Clerk. Grants, Easements,
Permits, etc. should be filed promptly with the Town Clerk
and fees and charges collected and turned in to the Supervisor.
All uncompleted transactions of this nature were requested to
be completed, the fees collected and turned in within the
next week so that all these matters might be cleared before his
report was completed.
It was suggested by Mr. Hiller that a time limit be placed on
the permits, etc. stating that if fee is not paid within a
certain number of days, the permit is null and void.
Discussion was held as to advisability of recommending changes
to law governing Town Trustees, their duties and compensation.
Amendments to law are to be looked up.
Payment of $100.O0 was received from James F. D'Wolf for the
grant of land issued.
Payment of $10.00 was received f~mHerbert Wells, Jr.
for permit to erect dock.
These two checks ($100.00 and $10.O0) totaling $110.O0 were turned
over to Supervisor Klipp.
The minutes were read and approved. The meeting ~djourne4
at 9:2~ P.M.
