Ti:e minutes of the previous meeting were read for infoN~tation.
The Board maid tribute to the memory of llrs. Louise Goldsmith~
mother of %he Clerk of the ?rustees by a minute of silent
prayer.
A letter of application from Hr. Carl E. Vail: Southold for
permission to:
!. To remove marsh ~rass and boq between high and low
~,;ater mark and build up a sandy beach.
2 .To dredle froP, lo%~ ~ater ~._~ark out to deep %,~ater
to set a maximu~ of 6 ft. of water at lo~-~ tide.
3. To construct a dock not over eighteen feet long
and ten feet -,,ide.
4. To ~ut down not over six piles convenient to 'tie
a b~a't or boats a~,~ay from ire dock. Ali_ such ~iles
to be located in front of the property.
It ~,~as moved~ seconded and csrried that the request of Hr.
Vail be granted but that the nermission to dredge be limited
to the distance fro,~.~ lo~ wate~~ mark on his r~roperty to not
further tkan the center line of the existing channel in Jockey
Creek. The permit is to be issued to k'rs. Inez 7ai!: o~:ner
of said property and Nr. C. E. Vail jointly.
It was regularly .moved~ seconded and carried tn~.u the Town
Council be requested to erepare standard for~s for easements~
permits and ~rants for tRe use of the Town Trustees in acting,
upon future requests for sucN documents from property o%~ners
in-the To~nship.

A letter of application was received from

1. To remove the marsh grass and boz between high
and lo~ water mark and build up a sandy beach.
2. To build a dock not over fifteen feet lon~ and
five feet wide in front of each property.
After consideration~ it '~as regularly voted to grant permits
to the above individuals as requested.
A letter of application from the Goose Bay Civic Association~
Charles F. D~Long, Jr.~ President, was rea~ regarding permission
to dredge th~ cha~el of Goose Creek at a aistance of some 2000
feet inside the bridge and 1000 feet into Southold Bay starting
fro~ the brid!~e. After co~siderable discussion the fo!lo~ing
resolution was adopted.
~P~AS. Goose Bay Civic Asso~ation has requested the
To~.m Trdstees of the To~.~n of Southold to grant per-
mission to dredge for a distance of 2000 feet in
Goose Creek and 1000 feet in Southold Bay~ to provide
a channel 30 feet ~de aha szx feeu dee~ and,
it is the opinion of this Board that samd dredging
will be beneficial to the surrounding property and
to the To~m of Southold, Ti~[~FORE, be it resolved
that said petition be granted, upon proper application
be made, 'Z]~?ZFO!~E, and subject to written and acknow-
ledged approval of adjoining property owners and subject
fur2~r to written approval of disposal areas.
It was regularly moved, seconded and carried that the fees for
the applications which were formerly granted woula be as follows:

The fees for permmssion to dredge~ in Goose Creek chal~el was not
determiz~ed pending receipt of written approval from the adjoining
property owners adjoining the project.
The minutea~ were read and approved and the meeting adjourned
at ~:30 p.m.
