A meeting of the Southold Tova~ Trustees ~qas called to order by
President Er~ons Dean at the Tnaa~ Clerk's Office on this date
at 2:1~ p.m. Present Were:

Minutes of previous meeting read for information.
Application of Mr. Theorn ',forth for permission to dredge an area
not to exceed 30 feet from e:~isting bulkhead and not to exceed
2 feet in depth across the 7~ foot ~idth of his property was read.
(Request in regular legal form ~.~it~-~ notarized consent of adjoining
property ov~ners was submitted.)
On motion the Board granted the request as presented and To~m
Counsel was asked to prepare the legal forms for the Board's
signature.
Mr. Edward ~iiller had requested through I. ir. Dean that the To~n
Trustees consider the matted of issuing a grant to certain lands
under water. The Board took no action pending submittal of deeds
and survey sho~ing what title if any~ Mr. Miller has in the
property and its exact locatio~ in relation to adjoining property
owner s ·
The request of Mr. Gerald Hom~el for permission to lease bottom
in Dam Pond was discussed. Tha Clerk ~qas instructed to write
Mr. Hon~el that consent of the upland o~n~ers wmuld be required
and if obtained then a public hearing would have to be held be-
fore action could be taken in this matter.
It was regularly moved and carried that the action of the Board
of Trustees in the case of an ease~aent ~o Mr. A.L.R. Francisco
and a grant to~r. Ja~ues D'Wolf should be ratified by the e~isting

~t was regularly voted that the Board of Trustees request the
Supervisor to des~sna~e on, of the Totem Pmlicemen as a conservation
officer to enforce the town Ordinances ~.~lth respect to the taking
of shellfish in Term Vaters.
The ne::t regular meeting of the To~.~ Trustees was set for Saturday~
May 22~ 19~8.
