met at the Town Clerk Office on Monday,
with the following p~ssent: Alvah B. Goldsmith,
McNulty, George Simpson and Marion Regent, Sec.
The minutes of February 10, 1967 were read and approved.
The following deeds were signed for granting additional property to the
Olmsted Family as a result of the dredging of Mattituck Creek:
Mary W. MacNish and Ruth M. Lessard
Frederick D. Olmsted, Jr., Richard E. Olmsted and Ruth Virginia Haas
Sidney W. Olmsted, Sidney W. Olmsted, Jr. and Robert Olmsted.
Karl E. Guiler and Amelia Virginia Guiler. ~
The applications of Philip Phoel Jr. and George Bird, of Lupton's Point,
Mattituck, to widen and deepen Deep Hole Creek were discussed and denied
because of the ill effects of destruction of marsh and the subsequent
effect on fresh water supply.
The applications of C. Edward Nelson, Tadeus~ Gach and wife, Marjory T.
Kalk and George Timmerman, all of Deep Hole Drive, Mattituck, New York,
to dredge a strip in front of their properties,according to map which
accompanies application, were granted, subject to limitation of maximum
depth at low water of four (4)

Application of Edward Schild to construct a 75' bulkhead and a float
65' x 5' was discussed and held for investigation.
Application of Clifford F. Saunders, Jr. to dredge in Deep Hole Creek
and put fill on beach was approved subject to limit of 4' maximum depth
at low water. The estimated cu. yds. to be removed 2000 ~ .04 - Fee~$80.00.
Application of Walter T. Honings to install float and ramp in Gull Pond,
Greenport, N.Y. in front of his own property was approved. Dock 42'-$21.00
two (2) pilings $1.00. Total Fee $22.00. V

float and mooring piles in Howard's Creek,

Mattituck, N.Y. to dredge, construct dock,
Mattituck, was approved.
Application of William M. Beebe and Richard E. Young to dredge with crane
creek bottom in Eugene's Creek, Cutchogue was reviewed and amended. The
Board approved the application on file subject to agreement by Mr. Beebe
and Mr. Young that all spoil removed be placed behind the exist/ng dikes
and that the meadow land be left undisturbed. Fee $30.00 paid. j v
A letter was sent to Mr. Raymond J. Kenney in relation to his applicatior
to dredge by crane the waterfront in East Eugene's Creek. ~
Adjournment was at 3:00 P.m. at which time the Board went out in
the field to review ~pp~ic&~ions.
