HomeMy WebLinkAboutTR-12/19/1966MEETING OF DECEMBER 19~ 1966 · he Southold Tow~ Trustees met at the Town Clerk Office on Monday, December 19, 1966 at 1:30 P~M. with the following present: Alvah B. Goldsmith, John F. McNulty, Frank Dawson, George Simpson, Douglas Robertson and Marion Regent, Sec. The next meeting of the Southold Town Trustees will be held on Wednes- day, January ll, 1967 at 1:30 P~M. at the Town Clerk Office. Appli¢&tion of G~s Wickersham to construct a dock in Deep Hole Creek, Mattituck, N.Y. 7 feet long and 6 feet wide was read and approved. Fee $3.50 paid. A discussion was held on the application of Steve and Daniel Mitacchi~e relative to dredging a canal in the meadows at Broadwaters Cove. The Trustees received a letter from the Town Planning Board expressing their disapproval of this application. The following letter was sent to Attorney Edson who is representing Steve and Daniel Mitacchione: Dear Mr. Edson; The Board of Trustees referred the request to dredge the area on the southeasterly corner of Bay Avenue and Broadwaters Drive, owned by St~ve and Daniel Mitacchione, to the Southold Planning Board for it's opinion. The Planning Board, for various reasons, urges that the Town Trustees not approve this proposed canal. We, Therefore, suggest that your clients clear the proposed work with the Planning Board first. Goldsmith, Chairman Board of Trustees It was moved and seconded and unanimously voted that the advice of the Town C~nsel be sought in connection with the decision of the Board to compel William Victoria to comply with the resolution of the Planning Board, and remove the unauthorized fill~and restore the area to the satisfaction of the Town. A copy of a letter from the Dept of Public Works to Mrs. John J. Bomba was received and read stating that the proposed project in Little Creek is too narrow to dredge with the county dredge. It is anticipated that a contract will be let this spring and the dredging completed before the summer of 1967. A revised plan for dredging in Corey Creek was submitted for Kur~. Hambsch .
